01
Set it up
Work is the hard bit, Rest is the easy bit, Rounds is how many times you repeat the pair. Sets group rounds together with a longer break between them. Get ready is a short countdown before round one so you are not starting mid-fumble.
Set Rest to 0 for a timer that just beeps every N minutes. Ten minute blocks, three rounds, and you have a 30 minute timer with a beep at 10 and 20. That is the first preset.
02
Run it
Press Start or hit Space. Digits go green on work, grey on rest, and the sounds are different too: a rising pair to go, a falling pair to stop, a tick for the last three seconds, a three-note finish. Skip jumps to the next block if you need to bail on a set.
The tab title counts down. Fullscreen gives you digits big enough to see from the other end of the garage. The timer holds a screen wake lock while it runs, so the phone does not go dark halfway through round six.

Questions people ask
- What is the difference between rounds and sets?
- Rounds are work/rest pairs. Sets are groups of rounds with a longer rest between them. 8 rounds x 3 sets with 2 minutes between sets is a typical class layout.
- Can I make it beep every 10 minutes for half an hour?
- Yes, that is the first preset. It is a 10 minute work block, no rest, 3 rounds. Any "beep every N minutes" timer works the same way: set Work to N and Rest to 0.
- Are my saved presets synced anywhere?
- No. They live in this browser only. Clearing site data removes them.
- Will it beep if I switch to another app?
- Browsers mute pages in the background, so the beep plays when you come back and the timer will be on the right round. Keep the page in front for live beeps.
